Purpose

To reserve this area inorder to allow fish to breed and grow to increase the fish stock and keep it healthy.

Species of Concern: Surgeonfish, Parrotfish, Grunts, Snappers, Groupers, Angels, Butterflies, Leather Jacket, Others; Lobsters, conch, crabs, Birds, Hawksbill Turtles, Dolphins, Seabirds

Regulations Summary

Restrictions

1. It is prohibited to:
(a) without lawful authority fish or attempt to fish;
(b) place or cause to be placed, any poisonous or noxious substance;
(c) use or cause to be used, any dynamite or other explosive substances;
(d) remove, disturb, or alter any living organism including, but not limited to, seagrass, corals and mangrove;
(e) remove any non-living material including but not limited to sand, rocks, coral or other materials;
(f) cause or knowingly permit to flow, whether directly or indirectly, any trade effluent or industrial waste, sewage or any noxious or polluting matter;
(g) conduct, or cause to be conducted, any research without the permission of the Authority.
2. It is prohibited to:
(a) harmfully alter, disrupt or destroy a fish habitat; or
(b) deposit any deleterious substance in a fish habitat.

Allowed

Fishing and other activities are allowed with lawful authority.
