Purpose
To protect extensive reef systems with a wide variety of coral species, mangrove forests and sea-grass beds as well as small islands, located on the southwest coast of Carriacou. It is considered to be one of the most important marine ecosystems in the region and a culturally significant area for the people of Carriacou.
Species of Concern: Corals, mangroves, seagrass beds, seaurchin, crustaceans, reef fish, hawksbill turtle, green sea turtle

Extraction of reef fish is prohibited.
Allowed
The only fishing allowed is seine fishing for pelagic species. Seines must be deployed and retrieved from a vessel, must not be pulled into or from the shore, must be tucked in the water as not to drag on the bottom, and will be restricted by mesh size.
