Purpose
To protect the unique biodiversity associated with the Laughing Bird Caye faro, and to manage, protect and promote the sustainable use of Laughing Bird Caye National Park for the benefit of present and future generations. This park is included in the Belize Barrier Reef Reserve System, protected under the UNESCO World Heritage Convention.

Restrictions
1. No person shall be entitled to enter any national park except for the purpose of observing the fauna and flora therein and for the purpose of education, recreation and scientific research. No person shall enter or remain within any national park except under the authority and in accordance with conditions of a permit issued by the prescribed officer on payment of the prescribed fee.
2. No animal shall be hunted, killed or taken and no plants shall be damaged, collected or destroyed in a national park or nature reserve.
