To protect vulnerable shrimp populations and preserve the ecological balance of coastal and nearshore marine habitats in key regions of Turkey by regulating gear types, seasonal access, and spatial fishing boundaries—ensuring sustainable resource use and minimizing the bycatch of non-target species.
