Purpose

Salmon closures serve to protect, preserve, and perpetuate fish and wildlife within the boundaries of the state. Recreational fishing opportunities for salmon in the Puget Sound have declined in the past two decades. This salmon closure helps to rebuild fish stocks and ensures that these fishing opportunities will be restored.

Species of Concern: Salmon
