Purpose
To preserve a wide variety of rocky and sandy habitats, including diverse rocky intertidal and shallow kelp reefs. This is an area of outstanding marine biodiversity, allowing for outstanding diving, tide pooling, and wildlife viewing.

Regulations Summary
Restrictions
It is unlawful to injure, damage, take, or possess any living, geological, or cultural marine resource for commercial or recreational purposes, or a combination of commercial and recreational purposes, with exceptions. Take of all living marine resources from inside tidepools is prohibited.
Allowed
1. Recreational hook-and-line fishing or spearfishing of finfish, and take of spiny lobster, and sea urchin.
2. Commercial take of sea urchin; spiny lobster by trap; and coastal pelagic species by round haul net, brail gear, and light boat.
