Regulations Summary

Restrictions

1. It is unlawful to injure, damage, take, or possess any living or nonliving marine resource for commercial purposes. Any human use that would compromise protection of the species of interest, natural community or habitat, or geological, cultural, or recreational features, may be restricted by the commission.
2. Vessels other than lightweight, hand-carried boats are not permitted to be launched or operated within the park.

Allowed

1. Recreational take of species by hook-and-line except marine aquatic plants.
2. Only lightweight, hand-carried boats may be launched or operated.

The department may issue scientific collecting permits. The commission may authorize research, monitoring, and educational activities and certain recreational take in a manner consistent with protecting resource values.
