Purpose

To protect the ecological value of the marine area as a habitat for endangered sea turtles and Mediterranean seal species, and to protect and enhance fisheries management.

Species of Concern: Loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta), Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus), and the Posidonia oceanica

Restrictions

The park is zoned for different uses, please adhere to the regulations for each zone.

In all areas of the NMPZ:
a) The use of motor vehicles and bicycles on sandy beaches is prohibited, as well as the use of animal-drawn vehicles or animals as means of transport or rides within the area.
b) The construction of new roads is not allowed.
c) Fencing is not permitted.
