Restrictions
1. STRICT PROTECTION ZONES
In Kornati National Park, four strict protection zones have been determined. These are the areas around:
• the islet of Purara, the rocks of Klint and Volić
• the islet of Mrtenjak
• the islet of Kolobučar
• the islets of Mali and Veliki Obručan
Visitors are not allowed to enter the strictly protected zone.
2. HIKING PATHS
The entire land area of NP Kornati is privately owned. Visitors are allowed to hike only on roads and trails specially marked for that purpose.
3. NATURE PROTECTION
In the National Park Kornati it is not allowed to damage, pick or destroy plants, nor to hunt, harass, injure or kill animals. It is forbidden to import non-native plant and animal species. Exploitation of mineral resources, changing the landscape, or any exploitation of the natural resources of this area is not allowed. Machines and/or tools that produce noise must be properly soundproofed. Any pollution of land, sea or air is prohibited. Lighting fires or any other use of fire is allowed only in settlements and in places specially marked for that purpose. It is forbidden to bring firearms and/or underwater rifles into the area of NP Kornati. Due to microflora disturbance, stacking of balanced stone piles is not allowed.
Allowed
1. SWIMMING AND DIVING
Except in strictly protected zones, swimming is allowed in the entire area of NP Kornati.
Autonomous diving is allowed only in organized groups and with a previously obtained license for autonomous diving in NP Kornati.
2. PERFORMING ACTIVITIES
In NP Kornati it is allowed to perform certain activities only with a previously obtained authorization for performing activities issued by the Public Institution Kornati National Park.
3. NAVIGATION, ANCHORING AND MOORING OF VESSELS
Except in the zones of strict protection, navigation is allowed in the entire area of NP Kornati. Anchorage and overnight stays are allowed in the following bays: Stiniva, Statival, Lupeška, Tomasovac - Suha punta, Šipnate, Lučica, Kravjačica, Strižnja, Vruje, Gujak, Opat, Smokica, Ravni Žakan, Lavsa, Piškera - Vela Panitula, and in the bay Anica on Levrnaca, Podbižanj and Koromašna.
