Yemen has sovereign rights for the purpose of exploring and exploiting, conserving and managing the natural resources, whether living or non-living, of these waters. Any laws enacted by the National Assembly and the House of Representatives relating to fisheries, national environment management, merchant shipping, petroleum and mining shall apply in relation to the exploration of natural resources and the question of marine pollution in the Territorial Sea and the Exclusive Economic Zone.
