Regulations Summary
Restrictions
The following restrictions apply:
1. Anchoring is only allowed in designated anchorage areas outside of MPAs.
2. The use of jet skis is prohibited.
3. De-ballasting, sewage discharge are prohibited.
4. No collection of shells and corals.
5. Garbage disposal is prohibited.
Allowed
The following activities are permitted:
1. Kayaking, sailing and other non-motorised water sports;
2. Scuba diving;
3. Snorkelling;
4. Dolphin watching and swimming;
4. Sea turtles and dugong watching;
5. Recreational cruising inside the MPAs;
6. Sunrise and sunset visits;
7. Recreational fishing in Marawah and Yasat MPA (with line and rod only);
8. Coral reef and shoal visits.
