Purpose
The Marine Protected Area is located on the coast of Saadiyat Island. The endangered Hawksbill sea turtle calls this 59 square kilometre area home, and thrives here.

Regulations Summary
Restrictions
The following restrictions apply:
1. Anchoring is only allowed in designated anchorage areas outside of MPAs.
2. The use of jet skis is prohibited.
3. De-ballasting, sewage discharge are prohibited.
4. No collection of shells and corals.
5. Garbage disposal is prohibited.
6. Fishing is prohibited in this area.
Allowed
The following activities are permitted:
1. Kayaking, sailing and other non-motorised water sports;
2. Scuba diving;
3. Snorkelling;
4. Dolphin watching and swimming;
4. Sea turtles and dugong watching;
5. Recreational cruising inside the MPAs;
6. Sunrise and sunset visits.
