Purpose
Justification of the establishment of protected areas and its significance:
1. organization and implementation of the protection of natural territories in order to preserve biological diversity and maintain in the natural state of protected natural complexes and objects of Middle Sikhote-Alin, reflecting in aggregate the state of the biosphere at the junction of the two biogeographical provinces and in contact with the Pacific Ocean - the Eurasian Mainland;
2. organization and conduct of scientific research, including the maintenance of the Chronicle of Nature;
3. implementation of environmental monitoring;
4. environmental education.

Regulations Summary
Restrictions
On the entire territory and in the water area of the reserve, any activity that is contrary to the objectives of the reserve and the regime of special protection of its territory is prohibited, including:
1. commercial, sports and amateur hunting and fishing, chasing animals for the purpose of photo, video, filming, other types of use of wildlife, except as provided for by the Regulations;
2. introduction of living organisms for the purpose of their acclimatization;
3. the presence and passage of unauthorized persons and vehicles outside the roads and waterways of common use;
4. collection of zoological, botanical, mineralogical and other collections, except for the topics and plans of scientific research in the reserve;
5. overflight of helicopters and planes below 2000 meters over the reserve without the consent of its administration or the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia, as well as overcoming the sound barrier by planes over the territory of the reserve;
6. other activities that violate the natural development of natural processes, threatening the state of natural complexes and objects, and also not related to the fulfillment of the tasks assigned to the reserve.
Allowed
On the territory and in the water area of the reserve, measures and activities aimed at:
1. preservation in the natural state of natural complexes, restoration, as well as prevention of changes in natural complexes and their components as a result of anthropogenic impact;maintenance of conditions that ensure the sanitary and fire safety of people, animals, natural complexes and objects;
2.prevention of natural hazards (forest fires, floods, snow avalanches, stonefalls, mudflows and others), threatening the lives of people and settlements;
3. conducting research and environmental monitoring;
4. conduct of environmental and educational work, educational and educational work with the population;
5. implementation of control functions.
