Purpose
To protect seagrass beds, coral reefs, including large colonies of elkhorn coral along the reef crest, and in some areas of the back reef and fire coral colonies.
Species of Concern: Wrasse, groupers, snappers, parrotfish, angelfish, triggerfish, damsel, butterflyfish, grunt, surgeonfish, jack, sharks, green sea turtle, hawksbill turtle, conch, lemon shark

Restrictions
The following activities are prohibited:
1. Taking any animal or plant by any method on land or at sea, except to the extent permitted in any fishing zone.
2. Taking any artifact.
3. Destruction or damage of, or injury to, any animal or plant.
3. Removing sand, rock, coral, coral-rag or any calcareous substance.
4. Anchoring in a way that damages coral reef structures living or dead and associated marine plant and animal life.
5. Anchoring vessels greater than 60 feet in length other than in an anchoring zone.
6. Water skiing, except in a water-ski zone, jet skiing or using hovercraft.
7. Dumping refuse, abandoned vehicles, toxic or other wastes, bilges, oil and other petroleum products, pesticides and other items harmful to animals or plants, or unsightly items.
8. Playing any game to the discomfort of other persons.
9. Playing any musical instrument, radio, cassette player, record player, television or other item which produces or reproduces music, to the discomfort of other persons.
10. Operating a vessel in excess of 15 miles per hour unless within an aquatic sports or water-ski zone.
Allowed
Certain recreational activities may be allowed. Fishing for lionfish is allowed.
