Wildlife Refuges are designated natural areas (terrestrial, wetland or marine), which are of particular importance as major development sites for wild flora or as breeding, feeding, or wintering habitat for species of wildlife or fish spawning grounds and nurseries, or as important marine habitats.

Restrictions
1. Hunting, fishing, catching wildlife, collecting wild flora, destroying any area with natural vegetation, destroying hedgerows, sand extraction, and drainage are prohibited within the Wildlife Refuge.
2. Filling and draining marshland, polluting water bodies, and disposing of or dumping waste are prohibited.
Allowed
1. Capturing wild fauna species for research purposes only in allowed subject to the permission of the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change as provided for in the existing provisions.
2. Observing wild fauna is allowed.
