Restrictions
1. It is prohibited to fish in the IJsselmeer with: (a) a big fyke net in the period from 1 January to 30 April; (b) a dart style fyke trap for inland fisheries in the period from 1 October to 30 April; (c) a gillnet in the period from 16 March to 30 June; (d) an eel longline in the period from 1 November to 11 April; (e) an eel trap in the period from 1 November to 11 April; (f) the bait pit in the period from 1 November to 11 April and it is prohibited to fish in the IJsselmeer with the bait pit from Thursday sunset to 8:00 am the following Monday and further daily from sunset until 08:00 the following morning; and (g) a seine in the period from 16 March to 31 October and outside this period it is also prohibited to use a seine in the IJsselmeer eight or more times the number of days on which it is permitted to use the seine days to fish.
2. It is forbidden to fish in the IJsselmeer with a gillnet, eel longline, or eel trap from 4 pm on Friday evening until 8 am on Monday morning.
3. Seine fishing in the harbors of the IJsselmeer is prohibited.
4. When fishing with the seine in the areas in the IJsselmeer, it is prohibited to tie multiple seines together.
5. It is prohibited to fish with any other fishing gear other than hook and line for a period to be determined annually by the Minister.
6. All fishers must report their eel harvest with the Minister.
7. It is forbidden to fish between two hours after sunset and one hour before sunrise.
Allowed
Fishing for smelt is exemptedfrom the fishing prohibitions.
