Mērķis

To conserve semi-saline and freshwater habitat types, which are exceptional in the Slovenian and international space, and the habitats of birds that nest, overwinter and stop here in the course of migrations, as well as the habitats of other native wild fauna and plant species.

Species of Concern: Heron (Ardea species), Common Tern (Sterna hirundo), Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus), Great Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus arundinaceus), Kentish Plover (Charadrius alexandrinus), Mediterranean Killifish (Aphanius fasciatus), Caucasian Dwarf Goby (Knipowitschia caucasica), Straightnose Pipefish (Nerophis ophidion), Grass Goby (Zosterisessor ophiocephalus), Mullet (Mugilidae family), Big-scale Sand Smelt (Atherina boyeri)

Regulations Summary

Ierobežojumi

It is prohibited to engage in the following activities:
- Enter the nature reserve except at designated entry points.
- Engage in practices, interventions and activities that could have a negative impact on animal and plant species, their habitats and habitat types, and that could change the ecological and other characteristics of the nature reserve.
- Withdraw, withhold water or otherwise change the water regime.
- Supply industrial, municipal or precipitation wastewater that does not meet the highest standards in accordance with the regulations governing the emissions of substances and heat during the discharge of wastewater.
- Deposit, throw or place any objects or substances or drop them into or on the water.
- Change the natural temperature and composition of the water.
- Bathe or dive.
- Cut down, burn or otherwise interfere with riparian vegetation.
- Hunting and fishing.
- Take plants and animals from nature, dig up, break, collect or otherwise damage plants and act in a way that can disturb, damage or destroy animals.
- Conduct research at a time, in a manner and to an extent that is not in accordance with the protection objectives of this regulation.
- Around the nature reserve, especially in the area of the left relief of the Rižana River, the Bay of Koper and the urbanized areas directly adjacent to the nature reserve, interventions, activities and behavior that may adversely affect the nature reserve due to pollution, changes in the quantity or temperature of water, changes in the inflow and hydrological and biochemical parameters of sea water, noise, lighting, consequences of the introduction of non-native plants and non-native or domestic animals, displacement of the bottom of the lagoon and other unfavorable consequences, are carried out in such a way that there is no or as little impact as possible.
