Purpose
The Mljet National Park is the oldest marine protected area in the Mediterranean. The park was established to protect the beautiful landscape and rich and diverse wildlife.
Species of Concern: European shag (Phalacrocorax aristotelis); Audouin’s gull (Larus audouinii); Common tern (Sterna hirundo); European honey buzzard (Pernis apivorus); Peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus); Tawny owl (Strix aluco); Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo)

IT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED:
1. Any damage, destruction, removal and alienation of anthropological finds and material remains of different cultures, archaeological and fossil finds, and cultural-historical buildings and cultural monuments.
2. Any deterioration in the quality of the sea and undersea, and their pollution.
3. Disposal of all types of waste, except in designated places.
4. Picking, collecting, removing from the habitat and damaging plants.
5. Lighting a fire outdoors.
6. Smoking except in designated areas.
7. Dispersing, chasing, harassing, capturing, injuring and killing animal species.
8. Carrying and using firearms, as well as other means suitable for hunting (bow, arrows, traps, hunting nets, etc.)
9. Fishing is prohibited, except with special permission from the Institution.
10. Fishing is completely prohibited in Mali and Veliko Jezera, and in the Soline channel.
11. Moving through the forests of the National Park at night.
12. Camping or camping.
13. Carrying out underwater activities in the Small and Great Lakes (diving).
14. Entrance to the Park without a ticket.
It is prohibited to carry out commercial fishing and small coastal fishing in parts of the sea that are protected in the category of national park.
