Restrictions

Monaco has sovereign rights for the purpose of exploring and exploiting, conserving and managing the natural resources, whether living or non-living, of these waters. Fishing restrictions, such as bag limits, seasons, and size restrictions apply. Prohibitions on fishing include:
- catching, sailing or fishing or attempting to catch, sail or fish with the use of dynamite or other explosives or with any harmful or poisonous substance;
- possessing dynamite or any other explosive or harmful or poisonous substance that a court could determine is intended to be used for fishing;
- selling, exhibiting for sale, distributing, or transporting fish caught with dynamite or other explosives or with any harmful or poisonous substance;
- catching or killing, or attempting to catch or kill fish while using spear guns in conjunction with underwater breathing apparatus.
