Propósito

To protect Rose Atoll, which consists of approximately 13,451 square miles of emergent and submerged lands and waters of and around Rose Atoll in American Samoa. It includes Rose Atoll National Wildlife Refuge, with approximately 21 acres of emergent land and 1,600 acres of lagoon.

Regulations Summary

Restricciones

1. Commercial fishing is prohibited in the Monument.
2. Non-commercial fishing is prohibited in the Monument, except as authorized under permit and pursuant to federal procedures and criteria.
3. Commercial fishing outside the Monument and non-commercial fishing within the Monument during the same trip is prohibited.
4. All fishing is prohibited within 12 nm of emergent land within the Monument.
5. Permits may not be transferred.
