Big Boggy National Wildlife Refuge serves as a salt marsh sanctuary. Dressing Point Island is one of the most prominent bird rookeries on the Texas Coast. Roseate spoonbills, white Ibis, snowy and reddish egrets vie for nesting space alongside the brown pelicans.
